Sanofi “Picture Hemophilia with AI”

Sanofi · Rare disease conference · AI experience

The challenge

Build awareness of Sanofi’s leadership in hemophilia at a national rare disease conference, and use that platform to create genuine empathy between patients and the healthcare professionals who treat them.

Day one: patients and consumers

Attendees described their lived experience of hemophilia in their own words. Those descriptions were fed in real time into an AI image generator, creating artwork that visualized each person’s experience. The images were printed on site and shared with attendees, forging a deeply personal connection between the brand and the patient community.

Day two: healthcare professionals

The AI-generated images from day one filled the booth. HCPs who hadn’t been in the patient conversations were invited to engage with the artwork and reflect on the emotional and physical reality of the people they treat. Real patient voices, translated through AI, reached the specialists responsible for their care.

Why it matters

An early use of generative AI not to cut costs, but to build understanding between patients and the people who treat them. The technology served the human idea, not the other way around.

The experience

Two days at a national rare disease conference: patients’ own words turned into AI artwork, then shared with the healthcare professionals who treat them.
